Good evening! I did a big room tour of Indys room design yesterday and a load of kids/playroom Q&As, all of which if you missed it are now tucked away at the top there in highlights . As its hibernation season and weve had some work done on the house Im getting my interiors mojo back! Its been a while since weve done any home updates I love doing stuff to the house but find it exhausting after a while and obviously so much so cant be at all the time. Guten Morgen aus dem Kinderzimmer. Die Jungs sind heute erkltet zuhause geblieben und es luft ein Hrspiel whrend ich ein bisschen rume. Hier ist noch lngst nicht alles fertig. Zwei Wnde mssen noch tapeziert werden, es fehlt Farbe, eine Fensterbank und noch einiges mehr. Da wir hier alles selbst machen braucht es ein wenig Geduld. S U N N Y S P A C E S I used to think I sometimes spent more time in the play room when our children were small than the children! Often setting them up with an activity as I chatted with my friend only to realise they had long disappeared from the play room and were somewhere else So when I decorate a clients playroom I always make sure its a happy space for any member of the family to relax in baby or granny and anyone in between! No wipe clean fabrics or plastic furniture in sight in this cheerful room I completed at the beginning of this month for a young family in need of a comfortable welcoming space to PLAY! @ikeauae featuring heavily as its so practical and hardwearing but with subtle hacks and some investment soft furnishings the room has unique qualities. We chose a playful @scionfabrics wallpaper arranged by @stylelibraryme with a neural background to add interest and depth but thats not overpowering and a bespoke wall to wall soft carpet edged with a wool trim. The toys will add their own decoration and I fashioned wire curtain rails to display the childrens artwork that can be rotated over time. This room will grow with the children and also be a calm place to relax for Mum when the kids are at school or having a nap! [its all about THE shelf] Liebe Freunde, heute wollte ich nur mal eben den Hng-was-an-die-Hakenleiste-Hashtag der lieben Mdels @einspluseinsistsechs @doro.em und @uls_andthekids bedienen und schon befinde ich mich in einer Art Schaffenskrise. Mit dieser Seite des Kinderzimmers verhlt es sich bei mir gerade wie mit der (altrosa- und irgendwas) Wandfarbe hinter dem Hochbett. Ich werde einfach nicht warm mit dem Anblick. Hier und heute liegt es keinesfalls an der (Wand)Farbe es liegt an der fehlenden Aufbewahrungs- bzw. Wanddekoration. Seit geraumer Zeit htte ich gerne ein Regal. Eines, bei dem ich auf Anhieb sage this is it. (Alle, die mich schon eine Weile hier begleiten wissen, dass dies dank meiner Entscheidungsfreudigkeit wohl eher nie passieren wird) Bisweilen mssen die provisorisch angebrachten Huschen ber die Tristesse der enormen Wandflche hinweghelfen. Und ich sehe kaum einen Lichtblick- denn ich habe keine Zeit und / oder keine Muse um hier endlich Abhilfe zu schaffen. Apropos Zeit, da schlittere ich dann mal geschmeidig in die nchste Krise. Ich wre absolut bereit f ein wenig Nachhilfe in ZeitmanagementNeben dem Job- und Familienmanagment und dem on top stattfindenden Alltagswahnsinn bleibt mir nmlich gefhlt genau KEINE freie- und ruhige- Minute fr Recherchearbeit und Inspirationsfindung fr mein RegalproblemchenIch Arme. Und so lasse ich Euch heute mit einem in meinen Augen etwas unstimmigen Eindruck vom Kinderzimmer zurck und verabschiede mich mit einem Augenzwinkern zu einem vielleicht nicht rundum ernstgemeintem Post. Unser #Montessori Kleiderschrank ist nun auch endlich fertig noch ist dem Kleinen ziemlich egal was er anzieht. Ich frage ihn immer mal wieder nach Prferenzen, aber er hat keine ich denke aber, das wird nicht mehr lange so bleiben, daher wollte ich eine Mglichkeit fr ihn, seine Kleidung im Blick zu haben und selbst aussuchen und rausnehmen zu knnen. Aber normale Kleiderschrnke knnen das meist nicht bieten, da sie zu hoch sind. Auf Pinterest habe ich mich zu dieser Lsung inspirieren lassen. Ein #Kallax Regal mit Einstzen (von Kleinanzeigen) bei dem wir ein Brett rausgelassen und dafr eine Teleskopstange reingeklemmt haben. Darauf hngen die Pullis. Bodys sind in der oberen Schublade, Hosen in der unteren. Socken und Strumpfhosen sind im Krbchen. Das Regal steht gleich neben der Wickelkommode, so das wir eins nach dem anderen machen knnen. Auf die linke Seite kommen noch Spiegelfliesen ans Regal und die Knpfe mchte ich noch austauschen.
