# Math Dice Games for Kindergarten and First Grade

## MATH DICE GAMES

Kids LOVE using dice during math activities! They feel like they are playing a game, but they are also learning some very important math skills as they do it!
One fun game I have had my Kindergarten class do during a math center is Roll and Stamp. The game is played with a partner. They take turns rolling one die, then stamping (or coloring in) the number they've rolled. First one to complete their page wins! This math activity reinforces counting and number recognition.
Another math activity done with dice is Roll, Add, and StampThe game is played with a partner. They take turns rolling two dice, then adding up the two numbers they've rolled. Then they look for that number on their sheet and stamp it or color it in. First one to complete their page wins! This math activity reinforces counting, addition skills to 12, and number recognition.
The third math game played with dice is Greater Than, Less Than, or Equal To. This activity has students comparing numbers. This activity can be done individually. Students roll one die and print that number in the first box. Then they roll one die again and print that number in the second box. Students compare the two numbers they've rolled and put the appropriate sign in the circle, depending on whether the first number is greater than, less than, or equal to the second number. This math activity reinforces counting, comparing numbers, and using mathematical symbols.
This Dice Games for All Year activity pack includes all three games listed above. The illustrations on each page covers many themes and seasons/holidays. It's a pack you can use in your math centers ALL year long!
